Colts' Cricket at Ferring
We have a well established, friendly Colts' section within Ferring Cricket Club under the guidance of Colts' Manager Alex King.
Alex is a professionally qualified coach who works full time at Hove as a Cricket Development Officer for the Sussex Cricket Foundation and is a playing member of the club.
We coach girls and boys in different age groups from 7-16 and enter the appropriate age level Sussex Colt leagues playing soft ball pairs and hard ball overs matches. New Colts players of all abilities are always welcomed.
The club have two Welfare Officers one of whom is a dedicated Colts' W.O.
A number of our senior and junior players volunteer to assist with coaching sessions . These usually take place on Thursday and Friday evenings during the season at our ground.
We hold pre-season winter indoor coaching sessions for our colts. One to one coaching sessions with our professional coach are also available.

Alex King
Colts' Section Manager and Coach
Alex has connected with the club since playing for the President's XI in the mid/late 90's. He is a right handed batsman, right arm off-spin bowler and started playing regularly for Ferring in 2012. His father, Tony, started the family connection back in 1964.
As Colts' Section Manager he is responsible for the direction of junior cricket. As a qualified ECB Coach, he is also currently the Head Coach of the section too and manages a healthy number of very capable volunteer coaching assistants. His hobby is also his profession, as he works as a Cricket Development Officer at Sussex County Cricket Club.
Colts' Section
Our Colts Section ranges from ages 7-16yrs. The yearly payment is £30 (payable by 1st June annually)
Outdoor Training: From Thursday 18th April onwards,
U16's is on Thursdays from 5:30-7:30pm.
U10's is on Fridays from 5:00-6:00pm.
U13's is on Fridays from 6:15-7:45pm (Unless a U13's match is being played).
